Tell youA Poem by Liz AlexanderI am at a cross road Saying good bye Conflict will happen If I don’t pack up and leave Can’t he figure out that I am not ready to take this battle To the grave I would rather keep peace between our souls A step to the new beginning Please listen to the music That flows in between us You can hear the tension When we are a cross the room My friends can cut the tension With a knife Can’t we forget the words? From before Days from this world Are happy Yet one look into the those vivid green eyes How am I the one who sees The monster that becomes in the glow Of those Green eyes I turn away to run Yet the sweet angelic voice Comes through it all That’s what people see Not the words we send filling to each other Not the words that tear a person down to the core No one can see what I see Through that passive voice An angelic voice that pulls people in Makes them your posses Girls can’t wait to call Them yours I know the truth In time before I have been there before Girls can never call him thiers Since he jumps from one girl to the next The only one who owns anything is him That the way he puts it Believe me I know Once before Have I been the girl on his arm Yet I saw him for who he was Before I went with him In the time where Just my voice could Wake up his soul He can never be showed to the home Of a tame beast He was close once To going there That was the day When his eyes took the green tint To them That was the last night when He and I had love in our hearts Back before the lies He told The words we say To each other A happier time… Should I tell you the story,,,? © 2010 Liz AlexanderFeatured Review
