Thrownback Sunday

Thrownback Sunday

A Poem by Liz Alexander

Just like old times

The Pope is leading singing

Minister is away

Dolan of the youth

Has stepped up to the plate

In the teaching the ballgame

Church is never boring with these two

Keeping all the learners

On thier toes

Makes them all laugh

Till they cry

Just like the old days

Bring thier game

Up to the plate

Recharging our battery

To go out

In the world

Pope pitches the songs

That can bring

Tear to our eyes

But the games not over

Dolan of youth

He's yet to step up to the bat

It has been known

That this Dolan

Can hit a few home Runs

Always knocking it

Out of the park

Every time

Bring people to thier knees

Speaking the words

That have convicted him also

Yet he still brings joy

With the laughter

He brings

These two are one of a kind

When they come back

Everyone who knows them

Has flashbacks

Of thier baseball days

In the throw back Sunday
