Our Camelot

Our Camelot

A Poem by Liz Alexander

Lady Ditzy

Brings Joy and laughs

To all around her

In our own little Camelot

She is a lady in waiting

To our Queen

Queen Controlling

The Queen second

Lady in waiting is

The mistress of the castle

King of the castle is a “ladies man”

In the kings court

There is a knight

Who has yet to find

A girl who wins his heart

Mistress might not ever

Get married

The king and queen

Have a daughter

Princess Spastic

I am the record keeper

For the royal family

The queen and her ladies

Are leaving the castle

To go to college

Queen Controlling is getting

In her carriage

Heading to California

The college of San Diageo

I hope it’s worthy

Of our Queen

Mistress is leaving

Somewhere close

She heading to Oklahoma Christian

She might find a man

Who let her forget?

How much she hates men?

Lady Ditzy is heading

To ________________

Where she’ll bring more

People joy and laughs

Every where she goes

We will miss them all

Oh, dear

The castle will be run

By the king, knight, and princess

I wonder what kind of trouble

We will get ourselves into

Remember always the Camelot

With Jester Z

In his burger king crown

All of the times we have

Had in our Camelot

Farewell, my beautiful

Return to us soon

In the land of Camelot

This is fantastic! It reminded me of the old movie, Quest for Camelot, because it has it's own twist in the story! That's what makes this so unique. There's a typo though, "The college of San Diageo" should be spelled "Diego". Unless of course you wanted to spell it that way on purpose, then I'll shut up. :) Also, am I to assume that the blank will be filled in later, or will the reader fill it in with our imaginations?
