My super hero

My super hero

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

A friend that cheers people up.

"

Pain is ripping through

The wind as I try not

To breath

You are all that I see

Anymore...

I am sick of living

This useless life

I lie down

Trying not to dream of you

My heart beats

In a new rhythm when I see

You looking at me

I walk away

With a smile on my face

The times we talk brings joy

I have pent up anger

That leaves with just

A glimpse of your smile

Days seem less depressing

When you come around

But as the wind blows

You fly away

With your umbrella

Like Mary Poppins

Going to who ever needs you

My super hero

One day

The world will see you

In a way that I always have
