Story in the eye

Story in the eye

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

I have written a lot about eyes in the last few days.

"
On a glance
Can tell a story of the owner with the eyes
What is the story?
A look of sadness
Some girls fall
For the puppy dog look
That guys give off
Those looks don't tie me down
Anymore...
One glance
Light eyes catch glances
For the ocean is seen
A dawn of the new day
Sky is in their eyes
As they stare straight ahead
Eyes are each unique
A lot can be told by them
Cliche it maybe
Eyes are the path to the soul
From the blank stare
To the wrenching puppy dog look
One look, A glance
Can tell a story

I agree with the logic in the poem. First look tell us to run away or get closer. I tried my best to stay away from fake sadness. Real sadness is wore in walk and action too. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
