Ice-licious Wonderland

Ice-licious Wonderland

A Poem by Liz Alexander
"

A journey through the park

"
Glass hangs off the trees
As orinaments glowing
That how's winter glitters
On this Ice-licious Wonderland

Frozen rain gift
Is this beautiful sight
It look as glass on the cars
In moments it shatters with just a bump

The Ice ends point as they hang off the playground
Giving the smiling face
Vampire teeth
Monkey bars has no place to grip or slip
For others to break their neck or legs

No place to sit
To keep warm
Glass would break under the bums
Back warmers are not made in the cold

A crash as the Ice falls
And hits the cement below
She braves the ice covered bridge
Her feet stay solid

She stands with her back to the enterance
Of the Ice-licious Wonderland
As she says good bye to this place

I live in Michigan. I go outside for Grand boys. Too cold for my old bones. I enjoyed your description. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
