Hold fast...

Hold fast...

A Poem by Liz Alexander

Hold_fast,_i_am_confused)

I_want_to_know_the-truth)

Yet_still_scared_of_the_possibility)

Of_a_negative)

Are_you_just-nice)?

Or_is_there-something-more-behind)?

Behind the smile and the eyes?

When you tell me hello

I can never tell because nothing comes after

How are you?

Part of this, is both of waiting for the other

To talk, make a move

Can I sayor can I tell you

That I feel more relaxed around you

Do you?

Even if I don't speak, I do.

Cannot even explain it

I always want to talk longer

Do-i-bother-you)?

So-many-mixed-signals)

Coming-between-the-space)

(_________)

Do-you-feel-it-too)

Or is it just me)

So this may never be answered

We may never get out of this cycle

Because I don't know

If there is anything behind those eyes and smile?

Or am I just a stalker, you say hi too?

I don't understand

I am scared of finding out,

IF I am just a stalker to you

I have said my piece

Answer if you care

I will get the hint some day

Scroll along if you don't care
