Come Heavenly child come

Come Heavenly child come

A Poem by Liz Alexander

Little children
Have a radiance of innocents from
The Lord When a little child smiles Is the most precious thing
When the apostles shooed away the children
Jesus stopped them
Telling them to bring them
 Watching children
Is watching an example
We are children of God
I love playing with little kids
Children joy is contagious
Their sadness is heartbreaking
I strive to get this child inspired joy
Being my Lord's child
I want to be a child that
Jesus Stops his followers sending me away
And telling them let the child come
Come you heavenly child, come

A beautiful and hopeful poem. I agree. Young children teach us hope and how to laugh. I like the desire to know peace and for Jesus to request an audience. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
