Father's DayA Poem by Liz AlexanderMy first poem for a while.
Happy Father's Day
I am not one who celebrates Father's Day I really do not remember the last time That I did Father's Day and Mother's Day are always celebrated on a Sunday Why is that? To the non Christian society It could be that it truly is the only day off in their week To call and thank their parents But in the Christian world Sunday is when take The Lord Supper The meal reminding us Of the cross We celebrate what God has done for us Our heavenly Father Gave his son for his other earthly children From Sunday when we are thanking Our heavenly fathers Sunday would be a day to celebrates Our earthly fathers To thank them for everything They have done for us The sacrifice they have made for us Just like our Heavenly Father Sundays are the days to be thankful For everything you have been given Question: have you wished your father happy Father's Day? This coming from a girl Who hasn't celebrated it in 10 years Not because I am not thankful But since I found no reason I try to thank my Heavenly Father For everything everyday So this year I am wishing Every father Happy Fathers day On this Sunday Finished: June 13, 2013 © 2013 Liz AlexanderFeatured Review
