What am I?

What am I?

A Poem by Liz Alexander

What am I?
Tell me my audience
Who am I to you?
A poet who words are silent
Without a pen to guide them?
Am I some one you want to listen to?
Tell me your perception of me
I am lost in my own thoughts of me
Life is a journey and a story
Am I the main character?
Or just an audience member?
I am just looking for an answer
Who do you think I am?
What am I to you, my audience?
How would you describe me in three words?
Seeing only the side of me written on paper
So what am I?
Show me with your poetic words
The silents ones
That never speak
Because these words
I dont dare say out loud

I like my privacy. I will do poetry reading and assist. A poet or writer can be many things. You can stand for great causes or write story to calm the minds. I believe we must decide. I believe we need life and experience to understand life and try to create change. It is okay to be silence and write words of hope and life. One day we may be brave and try to change our world. You can be what you desire. Thank you for the excellent poem.
