Morals

Morals

A Poem by iQuantenXenmai

What happened to morals?
Where did principles disappear off too?
Instead of listening to old ghosts
Drop your weapons and testaments
Look inside and feel the aroma
The aroma of your heart

Instead of looking at diamonds
And buying gems
Instead of praising possessions
Put down that piece of paper
And take a walk in the forest

False-prophets and old ghost
Are just symbols in a false dream
Feeding venomous words to poor new minds
I know If we worked hard enough
We can put all of that to the side and smile

I finally got to critting this, lol.
The poem is very good, but somehow it leaves something to be desired. It is rather empty, without much emotion. It brings up some very good points, but is hardly personal or an amazing experience. Make this poem packed with so much image and metaphor that it bursts at the seams and haunts peoples minds as they sleep. That is what is has the potential to do. Keep writing! =)

Convincing others of that is the true test. Great sentiment though. Couldn't agree more.
