NeckA Poem by Jacques - iNkwireA poem about using alcohol to cope with loneliness.
There is precisely one neck
that welcomes my embrace I may not be perfect, but to them I'm no disgrace Its' always different colors but the warmth is always there Bitterness is a small price to feel like someone cares If there are enough kisses eventually the world slows Though they can't become my missus All that matters is the time goes There are no dinners to be had Nor trips to be taken I've traded that all away to stop my heart from breaking I prefer a neck that isn't cold that's not up for debate I just often meet someone special and feel like I'm always too late © 2024 Jacques - iNkwireAuthor's Note
