Another WorldA Poem by Jacques - iNkwireJust a poem about some other world where I'm able to be with someone whom I'm not in reality.
There's a world where we can talk
lay on the grass and gaze at stars I could point at different ones and ask "Do your old neighbors know where you are?" I'd ask if you miss your home up there in the sky Then I'd say how grateful I am that this angel's talking to a regular guy In this world there'd be no rush for us to go anywhere Maybe you'd not just be a crush Perhaps we'd instead be a pair We'd be able to bask without worrying about time I could philosophize and ask what goes on in your mind We could sit in beautiful silence and even that would be so fun Perhaps then I'd not skirt around the word The One that rhymes with "done" © 2024 Jacques - iNkwireAuthor's Note
