What Can I Do?

A poem about longing, which is very loosely based on the song "What'll I Do?".

What can I do
when I've already said my piece?
I can only sit idly by
and uncertain I've released
What can I do
when I'm not yours
and you still pop in
my brain when I'm bored?
Does the devil play
with my idle mind
and make me wish
for more of your time?
What can I do
to make you smile?
It's not my job,
but I want to try
what can I do?
what choice do I have?
when someone amazing
shows up on my path
