Makes Me SingA Poem by Jacques - iNkwireA poem about how happy someone seems able to make me feel.
She makes me sing
even if she isn't mine Five minutes on the phone is never enough time I know she means business, but the work feels like play Think I'd be excited if I had to stay late I want to give and help even if I'm not hers whether it's moving a shelf or lifting a curse I want to give her flowers whatever kind she likes Don't care if I have to buy them or pick them on a hike Her smile parts clouds and makes the sun seem a flicker I can't stare at it too long because that grin stops my ticker she's proof the world is beautiful even if it doesn't look like her and her gentleness could make a kitten of a tiger why do angels have wings if they always walk on the ground? Is it so that others feel better whenever they're around? I don't sing like the golden harps that play wherever she goes but it is my hearts way of saying, "We wish we could show" © 2024 Jacques - iNkwireAuthor's Note
