Disappointment

I was disappointed about something.

It's hard not to feel disappointed
when I know I'm still drawn
still under the foolish nation
that if I don't care, I'm strong
I can't always have what I want,
but is it ever the case?
Must I always stay locked
In order to save face?
there's excitement here,
bur it's like it's stuck
behind gates of pessimism
and locked by bad luck
Perhaps it's a little hollow,
but these feelings are real
Perhaps they're not deep,
but it's just as hard to deal
