Searchlight

Searchlight

A Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
"

This one started out completely different than how I ended up finishing it...

"
Your smile is a searchlight
that turns me into a moth
It's kind of blinding,
and when I see it, I get lost
I can't deny curiosity,
but I refute that it's beyond
You can't blame a frog
for checking out a pond
Why do I doubt my words?
There is no explanation
Does a person have to be bad
For them to be a temptation?
There's nothing wrong with hello,
but I do not approve
of a simple thanks
inducing a puppy dog attitude

About
Hi. Most of my work is poetry, but I intend to put some stories out in the future. I write about what makes me feel strongly. This approach mostly results in romantic pieces, but I hope to branch o.. more..
