EtherA Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
I write letters I won't send
And wish my words into the ether Hoping that doing so means My words will somehow reach her I hope we meet in dreams Since we don't speak on this plane But I don't remember what's said So it just isn't the same It's like she's a citizen Of my heart and my mind She's doing her own thing, But it's like she's with me all the time Sometimes I want answers To things I don't know Yet I can't run away and can't run toward, So where do I even go? Am I missing some bits? Should my jacket be strait? Flipping between the start and end of my wits I'm finding that it's painful to wait It's like I'm looking through a window Or from a cage in a zoo Like I can't get to where I want to go To a place next to you © 2020 Jacques - iNkwireAuthor's Note
