MoleA Poem by Jacques - iNkwireA poem about perceived imbalance in friendship. Frustration from a friend seemingly picking and choosing for his/her convenience.
You hide in your burrow
and whine when dirt's in your eye You kick it up at others, but when they do the same you cry The sun won't shine at your whim and it doesn't revolve around you Sometimes I wonder if you're dim because you don't see the truth It isn't hunky-dory when you say so You're not a stop light, so you can't tell me to go You're not always right I don't give you that dirty look and I don't kick up dust Is my lip on some kind of hook when I give you my trust? You are not special neither amazing nor pathetic When I say you drive me mental I'm not trying to be poetic Sometimes I wish your mouth would just fill up with dirt My lip corners wouldn't go south if you'd shut up and do your work You don't get to choose whether you're above or below It's a stupid ruse you use As if you don't know Sometimes I want to fill that burrow and keep your f*****g face down there I don't know if it makes me shallow to say I don't know why I care © 2020 Jacques - iNkwireAuthor's Note
