Stuck

Stuck

A Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
"

Rhymes from the rocks and hard places I find myself in. The piece has reached a state where it's more or less done, but I don't really wish to continue it.

"
Is my heart a fool,
or does it just live in one?
Are my eyes behind wool,
or am I just dumb?

What point is there
in my love
If it leaves my hands bare
and my body just numb?

Even if I tried to open a door,
it wouldn't matter
As no one is ever there
At best, my pupils just scatter

I'm told I look for grades
when I search for a mate
I guess it is the same
Since they've the same failure rate

You could only lie to say
My chest isn't full of trash
If you think I am wrong,
then it's blood and broken glass

Opinions welcome. Stanza four's meaning changes a little bit if you know me personally (though you don't).

About
Hi. Most of my work is poetry, but I intend to put some stories out in the future. I write about what makes me feel strongly. This approach mostly results in romantic pieces, but I hope to branch o.. more..
