Silence, Stillness

Silence, Stillness

A Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
"

How quiet, how static is everything?

"
The music's stopped,
but the world still turns
It's been so long,
but my heart still hurts

The birds still sing
and the leaves still dance
I want to give up
Yet hope for a chance

Everything's the same
Yet it's all brand new
I've met so many
Yet I still think of you

If you're gone, it's okay
Definitely not the worst
and I will die one day,
but want to see you first

Very nicely rhymed piece. The sense of pain and loss came through very clearly.

About
Hi. Most of my work is poetry, but I intend to put some stories out in the future. I write about what makes me feel strongly. This approach mostly results in romantic pieces, but I hope to branch o.. more..
