We are meaninglessA Poem by RoseI lean back on the car seat, The world flashes past me, They go as quickly as they come; All that is past is forgotten. The music beats through my ears and the world seems to stop, The car is silent except for the deep breaths of my fragile carcass, My hands shake for the fear of being seen and never noticed, The fear comes true and all I can do is hope. So many people rush, Pushing the limit, But why do they rush? They are meaningless. A solemn truth dawns, I am small, I am alone, No matter what I pretend, I am mean nothing. © 2010 RoseReviews
