One last waveA Poem by RoseJust a little something I wrote when tired.Together we lay, floating in the water. It filled my mouth, flowing in my throat peacefully. The calm lake was surrounded by a forest, no one knew where we were. Our hands strung together loosely, being unsown by the water. Cushioned by the still surface we were sung to, a lullaby of our quiet breathing. Melancholy rippled on the water, a serene whisper. The silent forest was drowning us, slowly consuming our minds. The stars waltzed across the raven sky, coaxing us to sleep. My head submerged and so did yours, eternal placidity was insured. The water engulfed my last tear; we would never be found. © 2010 RoseReviews
