Stitch

Stitch

A Poem by Rose
"

Another short poem of mine.

"

I spent my whole life sewing,

Pulling the thread through the fabric of my life;

Making a neat stitch.

I don't know what I'm making,

But I know I'm not done.

Then the thread was pulled,

You pulled it apart,

Separating all my work.

My life,

Tearing at the seams.

Another one that only took me a few seconds, no corrections were made, so it is terrible!

This is brilliant. Not terrible in the least.
The first stanza is vivid and poignant.
"I spent my whole life sewing,
Pulling the thread through the fabric of my life"

The thread... of a young life being woven and pulled apart is such a powerful and raw image.

I read this over several times because it spoke to me on a very deep level.

I don't think this piece is terrible at all. While it may not flow like most poetry. It holds a theme that we can recognize and relate to. No matter how old we get, we all feel the frustration and ire that comes when our projects are torn apart from underneath us.
Sadly...with society the way it is and households often not seeing what is truly going on. The bottom can drop out when we lease expect it.
Yet, we humans are like rubber bands. We take the loss and we bounce back, higher than we had gone before.

Life's Ink shines bright in this one.

Wow, what a life you must have at such a young age! I feel sad and fearful for this subject, yet proud that the writer has recognized what has happened. Great job!
