The Jealous(ee)

The Jealous(ee)

A Poem by Erin
"

Painting colors and instinctive feeling

"

It Goes:
Eyes Narrowed,
Head Pounding,
Temples Hot.

Nostrils Flared,
Jaw Clenched,

Chin Jutted.
Neck Flexed,
Shoulders Hunched,

Heart Beating.

faster, faster.

Throat Scorched,

Stomach Boiling.
Hands Balled,
Fingers Tight.
Abs Constricted,
Back Straight.
Thighs Tensed,
Calfs Reaching.

Faster, Faster,
Faster.

Feet

Balanced

Shift
Pounce

FASTERFASTERFASTERFASTER

Get

Away
From
Him.

GO.

Wow I really liked this, it was creative and very catchy as I read along. I like how you managed to keep building more and more tension, there wasn't a downfall where it got tired, I just got more and more hyped. I haven't read any poem quite like this before and I appreciate you going out of the box and doing your own thing. An exquisite writing if I do say so myself.
