Chameleon

Chameleon

A Poem by Erin
"

hmm.

"

Time and Place define:
Thoughts, feelings, worship and love.
I am a Chameleon--

My colors changing;
constantly.
As I wish to be you.
Be you? be WITH you.
Definition Thorn Bird:
crying while still killing itself.
myself.
Define subtle,
Bleeding Heart,
I feel everything.
everything.
Layered aspect--
Laugh while pain settles into its spacious abode.
I write with an ink of my own devising.
Oh so pricking,
But still I must finish.
This tidal wave of apathy:
Ebb and Flow,
Drought of mindlessness
To flood of cement,
weighing my limbs down.
A magnet for sadness--
I feel your colors, and a stranger's
Swirling colors of need and sadness and WANT WANT WANT.

Human corruption so apparant
dessicating smells, sickly sweet, poisoning me
An invasion into STATE OF MIND.
I can never be alone with myself.
DEFINE ME.
please.
