Mommy?

Mommy?

A Poem by Frankie Nguyen

Age: 3
Daddy where's mommy?
Why isn't mommy here?
Why do I have to go to a different house?
Why is mommy even there?
Mommy is suppose to be here

Age: 4
I understand now daddy
Mommy left us
Mommy married another man
I don't like this man
Why does Mommy

Age: 5
Mommy
I don't like that you're not with daddy
I don't like this man you're with
Mommy he's not nice
Mommy he touch me
Why didn't you do anything
Why didn't you make him stop
Do you love me Mommy?

Age: 6
I barely see you anymore Mommy
I want to see you Mommy
I don't want to see him
Mommy come back
Mommy come back to me and daddy
Mommy please

Age: 13
I have a choice now Mommy
I choose not to see you
Mommy you chose him
You're not coming back
Mommy I'm mad at you
Yet Mommy I love you

Age: 15
Mommy I'm tired
I'm tired of thinking about you
I'm tired of you hurting me Mommy
Mommy you hurt me
You took my every dream
and smashed it to pieces
Mommy why do I love you
Do you even love me

Age: 16
Mommy I don't care anymore
I don't see you a lot anymore
Mommy
you never call
I don't believe you love me Mommy
Yet I still love you
I'll always love you Mommy
whether you love me or not

This is beautiful I have tears running down my face right now! I'm glad my poem inspired this. It's weird yet perfect how mine is titled Daddy? and yours is titled Mommy?
I love it! I think your take is so much better!
