I liked this. The emotion described here, how one jumps from liking someone to practically being in love with them, is a familiar one. I'm not sure if you meant it this way, but I like the irony of the last line. For me, it describes the sudden sense of inevitable conviction one feels at the moment you're describing, whether it's real or not, it always feels real, doesn't?
