Struggle

For years, survival has been a struggle

To not cut to deep

To not starve

To not overdose

To not pull the trigger

To not jump

To finally see

something worth saving

To not let the past consume me

To not let it all tear me down

To make it through the day

To smile through the pain

To keep it inside

Survival of the fittest 

But I'm not that fit
