Scared to Say

I wish that I could tell you that

You’re always on my mind

But I’m scared it may scare you away

I long to tell you that

I can’t help but, think of you and smile

You just have that effect on me

 

There are so many things I wish I could say

But I just sit back

And admire you instead

I can’t afford to take the risk

 

If I’m never anything more

If I’m never yours

That will just have to be okay

Though it may kill me inside

I’ll just have to be okay
