A Book Full Of FablesA Poem by I Don't Care If You're Contagious
May I change just to fit in
Why would I want that terrible burden? Can I be like all of the rest Flunk out and fail tests? Can I be a pretty face When there is no inner beauty underneath? Can I laugh at others pains When no one listens to their screams? Can I sit at the cool table As we lie and gossip enough to create a book full of fables? May I just be invited into the in-crowd Maybe that way things would change starting now. I would not want to be any of the rest I will graduate and get to the next step. I may not have a pretty boy face But I have a heart unlike you underneath. I do not laugh at others pain I have been there and have felt the feelings it brings. I sit alone at a table I will be the one to burn the book of fables. I am someone who stands out of the crowd Something has to change with you jerks starting now. Stop being suck a bully Be a friend that you would need.
