That Has Captured Me

That Has Captured Me

A Poem by I Don't Care If You're Contagious

I need to figure out
How I got this way
I am going to scream my lungs out
Why can't I find my way?
Just breathe your soul into me
So I can live for you
You do not live as if you were me
It would take myself to be you.
Wonder why the sky is so blue
or the grass is so green
With the sun's shine yellow
But clouds covering the light.
Why is it that I need help
From someone who has had enough
Run away just run
Before you are caught in the same trap
That has captured me.
