Days And Days

Days And Days

A Poem by I Don't Care If You're Contagious

Who I am but not myself
How could I be anyone else
Days and Days I wish to not be me
But in the end I am still lonely me.

Watch yourself do not change
For life is not a dress up game
Be true to yourself for you are the only one
Who ever will be happy after your friendships are gone.

It seems like the mood shift back in forth the way you have this poem set up. I think this is a poem several people could probably relate. Your choice in words was very nice, and I like how the last stanza is almost like the thoughts one person always has, but rarely ever follows. Nice write.

I very much love this poem, I think its something we can all relate to - i mean what one of us hasn't, at some point in our lives, tried to be something we're not and then turn around and realize that we are all we got in the very end so we have to accept ourselves and just be happy and content with who we are.. did i just dig into this way to deep? i don't know.. but well done :)

It is good to stay yourself, for there is only one you. Uniquely your own, don't ever let that change. Excellent poem.
