Where I'm from.

This was an assignment for school. I honestly didn't try my hardest, this was sort of a last minute thing. But i do like it a little bit. =

I am from the country, from farms on every corner.
I am from the city, a place that is always awake.

I am from church every Sunday, and family gatherings almost every Saturday.

I’m from “Strawberry Shortcake”, and “Winnie the Pooh.”
I am from Barbie dolls and dress up.

I am from mud pies and water slides.

I’m from private school with uniforms every day.

I’m from lullabies, to country, to pop, and then rock, then rap, and even techno.

I am from a home where we respect our elders, and never tell lies.
From a home filled with Yankee candles, and family photos.

I’m from Southern Maryland, a place where I grew up and have met many new friends.

I’m from the United States of America, where we have freedom and can stand up for what we believe in.

I am a creation of God, one of his many people that he has come to love.
I’m from a place where I am not afraid to express my opinions, a place where I can stand out if I want to, and a place where I am able to put my true feelings into words and express myself through writing.

Author's Note

Like i said it was a school assignment that I didn't really try hard on. So please no hatred if there are haters here... I just joined and thought this would be somewhat good for my first writing on here.

This is nice. I really like it. It shows off who you are wonderfully. But a word of advice, the yellow is really hard to read, you might want to change that.
