stars

i haven't written anything in a long time and it's because i haven't really had anyone to write something to/about, and that seems to be my theme. so, i just kind of gave up on that and wrote it.

your eyes twinkle,

twinkle like stars,

and the light behind them shines just the same.

i wonder,

are they as far away?

is the light i see from them, 

lighting up your face,

from dead stars

once living,

burning bright from eons ago?

you look at me,

stardust to stardust...

your eyes quiver and i shiver-

so immediately so that they must be close.

those stars must not have met their end,

their cataclysmic cosmic send off to oblivion..

the light from your eyes,

lighting up your face,

from two stars,

still living,

burning bright with eons to go.

so close,

i could touch them.

and that's it-

when you look at me,

i can touch the stars.

i'm falling away from rhyming things now. i don't mind it.
