so faintly

like a piano key held for so long

that you're not sure if it's still singing.

in whispers and excited yells

word by word

like i'm rereading a book

because it was too good to end.

i remember your skin against my lips

and how your porcelain wrists

tasted so cold

like melted snow

next to the hot blood in your veins.

just from a touch

you set all my senses ablaze

but the one thing i can't know

just from a touch

is how you feel

towards it.
