A Tangled Skein.

A Tangled Skein.

A Poem by i.am.the.sun.
"

it would help if you know just what the fabric of time and space is.

"

Your skin,

A silk canvas

Wrapped around you like stars

That cling to the night.

Your fingers,

Lonely threads

Tangled through mine

To make our unique fabric.

Starring at your diamond eyes

The moon passes over,

And our stitching flows between us.

The fabric of space and time

Continues its tangled skein;

Surrounding,

Enveloping,

Sewing tragedy with comedy,

Weaving heart beats and their melodies

As the moon sinks back into memory.

The sun rises brightest,

Brighter than before,

You start to melt

And I catch you in cupped hands.

Holding you to my lips

I drink you in

Until your quicksilver courses through my veins,

With every subtle sip.

Pooled between my palms,

Smile glinting in the sun,

I’ll pour you into the wishing well

And wish for your regrets to come undone

And blow in the breeze,

Like a silk ribbon,

If you’ll only let me.

Please...

Let me show you

That I can sew you a world

With a thread count

That can only match my heart beat,

That without you,

Will never be complete.

Author's Note

i.am.the.sun.
I was talking to a very beautiful and wonderful girl the other day and wanted to make her smile, so i spouted out some ideas in the conversation... she liked them, so i put them all into one poem :) it seems like maybe too many ideas crammed into one write, but i don't mind.
