Why do I stare?

You’ve an amazing mind,

Charged with so much electricity.

Your brain does amazing things

With the help of synaptic nerve endings,

Dendrites and their destinies.

 

Something goes on in there that I just can’t see

But when I look in your eyes

I see sparks fly,

And circuits fire.

Your whole face lights up,

Glowing with these charges

As they course along their paths

To the location

Of their gentle destinations

Just under your cheeks.

 

When this is done

You show everyone

Why I can’t stop thinking

About what goes on behind your eyes.

As your cheeks lift your eyes widen,

Your Brows raise and relax at the same time,

And what would be a smile on anyone else appears

But to me,

On you,

It’s a little piece of paradise.
