your short story.

your short story.

A Poem by i.am.the.sun.

I found your book the other day
that’s right,
The one where in you wrote your pain.

It tells of a girl
Who grew up in this world
She grew a little too fast
But never learned to forget the past

This girl in your story
I sure hope she wasn’t you
She had brown hair
Blue eyes
Red lips like you
Or so the story goes

I know you’ve got
A bad history
But not one can I think of
Sadder than this tragedy

She grew up
Got beat

Got raped
Lost sleep

Ran away
And now she
Works the streets at night

Under a bright red light

I sure hope
You’re not her
I sure hope
Shes not you
I sure hope
Her eyes weren’t really blue

Should have told you I love you

She grew up
You got beat

She got raped
You lost sleep

She ran away
And now you work the streets at night

She stands right there besides you
Under the bright red light

Last time we talked you said you
Were doin quite alright

In your book
This girl
Well she ends up kinda dead

Please tell me im not reading your short story
Yours should hold much more glory

You grew up
Got beat

Got raped
Lost sleep

You ran away
Now please tell me that you’ll fight

Hope you know you
Only have one life.

Again man, good! Bit more flow needed though I think, it's quite choppy in places but that could be the way I'm perceiving it and I need it sung to me (please don't serenade me), the concept was good though, I enjoyed the story and could see this going well with a soft piano tune.
