Little Girl

Little Girl

A Poem by i'mHiding

When, little girl,
Was the last time you smiled?
When was it, Little girl,
The last time you laughed?
Tell me when, Angel,
Was the last time you forgave?
And let your worries blow away with the draft.
When was the last time you showed them,
You didn't need much and life wasn't as hard,
With nothing but the clothing on your back,
Playing in the heaven of your own backyard.
Love came so close to you,
And you didn't even see,
Now you spend everyday looking for it,
Then watching it slip away.
Your face is coated in make-up,
Your eyes are stained with tears,
Your spending forever looking for the Beginning,
And the end of all your irrational fears.
Life wont end at sixteen,
Love will come to you as easily as you breathe,
Don't fall too far, or in between,
Wipe your eyes and look before you leap.

When was the last time you smiled, little girl?
The last time you didn't worry your precious head?
~
"Too long, too long, too long"
Was the only thing she said.
