Eviction

Eviction

A Poem by hypochondrita
"

Taking responsability for yourself.

"
Hi.
I knew you'd come.
Take a seat.

I have a proposition for you.
I'll let you leave.
You get release, I get some peace.

I'll put you in these words
I'll cry you out.
I'll scream until I'm out of air
I'll go beyond what I can bear.

There's not any room left
to fit you and I.
So you do what you do best
Paint me as the bad guy.
Must be a lot of fun
Never being the responsible one.

You know, It took me a while
to realise we were the same
So I could also be that vile
Shift the blame.
Defeat the shame.
Revert the game.

It's all mine now
Close the door on your way out.

This narrator comes across to me as being so angry, so bitter, & so vindictive, as a reader, I assume this person is the problem, not the other way around, as the narrator may want to convince us. Whenever one person excessively blames another person for a bad relationship, this is a big red flag. We all make our choices & share in the blame for our results. I hate this narrator & the uppity attitude. But the best writing provokes a reaction & that's why you've succeeded with flying emotion! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I did like this poem.
"It's all mine now
Close the door on your way out."
The above lines is wisdom. We make our messes and we must live in the s**t we create. I liked the honest tine leading to the proper ending. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
