Jordan

It was a plan old school day today, in other words, pretty much boring. Who likes learning you know? Although, i do enjoy history. Very fascinating. But what really bugs me about this, is that i'm learning about the Wild West instead of World War 2. Which is a real shame. As i would love to learn more about that. Also in history, is the medicine through time. Hippocrates, the founder or health? An inspiration i'll say. It was breaktime now, so i thought i would go into the area where me and all my friends hang out. A small grassy area, with a fairly large gazebo, and some benches, so students can eat their lunch in the dry. I sat down, got my lunch out, and started eating my sandwhich, whilst talking to my friend Richard, who was tucking into an incredibly large pasta pot. It looked very tasty. I looked to the entrance, and saw a girl run in. Granted she was hyper-active in general, but i don't think she was in the best of moods. She ran up to our table, and slammed her hands against the table.

"Jordan! Please, come and talk with me, i have a huge dilema, and i really need your advice.."

This girl, was one of my closest friends, i had met her in year 5, at a netball tournament. We became best friends ever since, both stick to each other, and want to keep in touch for the rest of our lives.

"Could we go over there? it's quiet.. and..  he won't hear me.."

Well, she was pointing at the flower bed benches, as pretty as they were, nobody ever usually went over there, unless it was summer.  She sat down first, with her head held low, covering her emotionless face. I sat next to her,  she would occansionaly peer over to our group, but i didn't quite pick out, who she was staring at..

"Laura.. are you going to tell me what's Wrong?"

"Well..  Jordan.. you know..  Adam.. well, i think that's his name.."

She turned her head to face everybody again, she faintly smiled and turned back this way.

"i think...  as crazy as this may sound.. i have fallen for him.."

"Ehh...  What???"

Yup, she sounded crazy. She's never talked to him before, and i don't think they even know each other. I had no idea what to say to her, it seemed like she had fallen hook line and sinker. What's worse, i don't even recall him having a girlfriend before. Ever. She turned and looked at me. Pleading.

"Laura.. i'm so sorry.. but i don't ever recall him having a girlfriend.. but i don't think he'd go with someone like you..  your more.... well known than he is.."

I felt so bad upon saying that, and what's worse.. i could see water in her eyes.. she threw her head into her hands and cried.. it sounded painful. I wish i knew what to do. I turned to everyone else, who was looking this way, and to my very surprise, Adam was looking this very way too. He looked at Richard, and they both started walking over. I couldn't believe it, i think he noticed her.

"Laura...?"

She looked up, and to her amazement, she was looking directly at Adam. He smiled at her, and grabbed her hand.

"Look... i hope everything is ok. If you ever need anything, you come talk to me..  ok?"

He walked away, and she watched him. I was dumbfounded, he really was a nice guy, he doesn't even know her and he offered his kindness? i find that absolutley amazing.. I'd hate to be in her shoes, because of what she is going through right now.. the feeling of loving someone, and them not loving you back. It must be extremley painful. At that point, the lesson bell rang, i wasn't in her next lesson.. i just started hope if she would be ok. I grabbed my bag, and walked away.
