An Oceanic ConsumptionA Poem by wynnon betrayal...
I long to be consumed by death,
To be drowned in the depth of the sea Squeezing the last bit of air from my tired lungs Soaking, waiting for my skin to shrivel up and die; I wish for the sea creatures To thrive on my darkened soul, To make a home in my lifeless chest The salt water coursing through my porous veins Giving me life; Because I have none of my own. My soul is an ancient hull, rusted and abandoned I search for something to cling to But when my ship approaches the lighthouse dawn The anchor lifts and I am thrown back by the waves; A salty betrayal. The sails tear and the deck bursts into splinters, The sharks rip me apart in a satisfying rage Scattering my limbs across continents So that I will never come together again; So that I will never feel again. © 2013 wynnReviews
