FireflyA Poem by wynnA light amidst a dusty room,
The firefly traces a glowing path; Old parchment of an ancient tome Holds secrets of a hidden past A match sparks thrice a hungry flame, A desire burns in deep blue eyes, Death consumes the ink with shame, Smoke hails to the charcoal sky The potent fragrance of emotion The pureness tainted by a lie; I stowed within a box of ashes, The wings of the tiny firefly © 2013 wynnFeatured Review
