Rejection

Rejection

A Poem by Hyorin

Rejection, a bittersweet drug,
Impossible to hide under a rug,
Flows like quicksilver swift,
Between us, an insurmountable rift.

The smile, the eyes that melt
Even the hardest of hearts,
This deep an abyss I never felt,
Leaving love in twain, in parts.

The awkwardness was cute,
Your face an ecstasy I never had,
But to you I did not suit,
Hence a silent tear I shed
