Distance

I really want something
- for you to notice me, maybe
somewhat. somehow. hoping.
but you're far, out of reach, crazy.
but you're like water in the oasis,
ludicrously quixotic, majestic, 
you leave me in stupendous statis,
and drown myself in work, hectic.
some things i can't will myself to do,
when you're physically there, but our souls are eons apart.
