Consume

i ride the waves,
of poison and rue,
in insidious raves,
that seem untrue.

Ambition chokes me,
screams in my mind,
I long to be free,
but it's hard to find.

Fetters me to the ground,
shatters my very soul,
like a brutal bloodhound,
but I'm trapped in a cull.

Watch as the raindrops
fell, dropped, splattered, 
as my sinister sin robs
my sanity truncated.
