Memory

Memory

A Poem by Hyorin

Walking down memory's lane,
a split between the past train
and the present meadow,
you tread the greens with a glow

The sands of antiquity
a wistful whirlpool consume,
eats away at present iniquity,
and flora surrounds abloom

For you were green,
an innocence untamed
as you entered dressed preen
and the clock reigned

Again you return -
a swing between the past
and the present,
and for that nostalgia yearn

You seek solace,
in a pretty place
where the sun glowed
and believed in you, wholehearted

You take that leap of faith
walking in, wounded in battle,
a quiet inn in the distance,
and on the present road you pave,
leaving the past that never fades.
