The Storm

The Storm

A Poem by huntnteen

The thunderheads approach,
Dark thoughts in your mind encroach,
lightning flashes through the sky,
you let loose a painful sigh,
the thunderous roar,
your emotions through your mind they tore,
the pouring of the rain,
the constant pain,
the eye of the storm,
holding her to keep her warm.
The wind makes the relief slim,
she leaves you for him.
That is the storm in all its perfection,
and in it your mind has made the wrong selection.
Yet the sun will break through the clouds,
and when it does, for happiness you will cry aloud.
