The Waltz

The Waltz

A Poem by huntnteen

As I hold you in my arms,
and look at your serene face,
I know how much I love,
Dancing with you in this place.
As the music flows over us,
we dance to the sound,
I smile to myself,
For nothing is solid but you, and the ground.
When you open your eyes,
my heart flutters
as I gaze into your depths,
my mind melts like butter.
My eyes fall to your lips,
that I so long to kiss,
as I lean forward my mind snaps clear,
and I continue the waltz, another opportunity I'll miss.
I continue the step,
until the music ends,
when I let you go there's a void
I just cant mend
